About Chef Hackey:
With over 15 years of experience, spanning across 4 continents, Chef Richard Hackey has explored and experimented with several cuisines but kept his core intention of providing, “simple food, done right.” Specializing in French and Mediterranean cuisines, Hackey aims to make food approachable but also unforgettable. He got his start in gastro pub, the Church House Inn, located in Bollington, England. A passion for food and travel would lead him to run kitchens in restaurants in Australia, New Zealand and back home in London. Most notable being Hummingbird Cafe, now Proud Mary’s, which under Hackey and team’s effort was named one of TimeOut’s “Best Brunch Spots in London” in 2014. He’s excited to bring traditional British fare to Swoop House.
