About Bruce Neyers
Bruce Neyers started his career at the Mayacaymus Winery in the Napa Valley in 1972. He was the Vice President of Sales for Joseph Phelps Winery for 17 years and is currently the Director of Sales for Kermit Lynch wine portfolio. Bruce & his wife began Neyers Vineyards in 1991, their first vintage of Neyers Vineyards was produced at Rombauer winery with Helen Turley and Aaron Jordan from estate fruit grown at the base of Howell Mountain off Sage Canyon Road in the Conn Valley. Neyers Vineyards current winemaker, Tadeo Borchardt, joined the team in 2004.
About Chef Bryan Beneke
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Bryan began his career at the New Orleans landmark Commander’s Palace. Bryan’s desire to travel made him well-suited for the hotel industry where he spent over 10 years working for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Texas, Georgia, California, and Hawaii.
Chef Bryan returned to Austin to be close to family and became Executive Chef of The South Congress Café where he created one of the most popular brunch spots in Austin. He most recently helped launch the Austin Snooze A.M. Eatery to great success. Now Bryan returns to his Louisiana roots to lead the culinary team at Sawyer & Co. and looks forward to bringing a taste of New Orleans to east Austin.
