Chef Egil Valentin

Egil_Valentin_cropped Chef Egil is a graduate at French Culinary Institute in NYC. He has more than 18 years of experience and trained under the watchful eye of such chefs as Jaques Pepin, Andre Soltner, and Alain Selhiac. While living in New York City he managed and staged notable restaurants such as Le Cirque 2000, Vong, Daniel, and Terrace in the Sky among others. In 2003 he moved to Austin and began teaching at Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts where he has taught many of the current chefs in town. During this time he continued to learn new cooking trends by staging at star restaurants such as Aquavit (chef Nils Noren), WD-50 (chef Wyle Dufresne and Ferran Adria “El Bulli”. Over the past years he has been managing and doing research and development in kitchens such as Ramen Tatsuya, Kenobi, Macondo, and Franks. His extensive traveling and training brings a cuisine of cohesive fusion with elements of surprise, whimsical presentation, and textures.
